Job summary

Acclaim Technical Services (ATS) is hiring a Cloud Engineer with TS/SCI clearance and polygraph for a Prime contract in Annapolis Junction, MD. You will design, build, and maintain a cloud infrastructure on AWS, emphasising IaC, automation, security, and reliability to support mission needs.

You will implement IaC with OpenTofu/Terraform, manage Kubernetes clusters, and automate with Ansible and Python within a CI/CD environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related discipline; 4 years of additional software development may substitute for a degree.
• 6+ years in Cloud/DevOps/Software Eng roles.
• Hands-on AWS expertise; AWS certs preferred.
• IaC with OpenTofu and/or Terraform; Kubernetes experience.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure as Code: Design, implement, and manage AWS infra using OpenTofu/Terraform.
• Configuration Management: Develop automation scripts and playbooks with Ansible.
• Container Orchestration: Manage and scale apps with Kubernetes (EKS).
• Source Control & Collaboration: Use Git within a CI/CD pipeline.
• Automation: Write Python scripts to automate tasks and integrate systems.
• AWS Expertise: Architect and manage core AWS services (EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM).
• Monitoring & Logging: Implement monitoring and alerting for operations.
• Security & Compliance: Apply best practices per STE/STN standards.
