Job summary

Insight Global is looking for a Cloud Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Chantilly, Virginia. This position supports a high-visibility enterprise cloud initiative and requires an active TS/SCI clearance. As a hands-on engineering role, you will design, build, and deploy cloud solutions across multiple environments.

The role focuses on engineering responsibilities while also shaping cloud strategy. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of Cloud Engineering experience, knowledge of DoD compliance, and experience with AWS and Azure. This is a six-month contract-to-hire opportunity with an hourly pay range of $80 - $95.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active TS/SCI Clearance with CI Polygraph.
• 3+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering required.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and multi-cloud environments crucial.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy secure cloud and hybrid solutions.
• Manage AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments.
• Ensure DoD compliance and mentor technical teams.

Skills

Active TS/SCI Clearance with CI Polygraph

Security+ (or equivalent 8570 certification)

3+ years of Cloud Engineering experience

Experience supporting IL5 / IL6 classified environments

Strong understanding of DoD / Intelligence Community cloud constraints

Hands‑on experience with AWS, Azure

Experience working in Agile / DevSecOps environments

Familiarity with CI/CD tools

Knowledge of DoD accreditation processes

AWS or Azure certifications
