Job summary

GRVTY is seeking a Big Data Analyst to join our team in Herndon, VA and at the customer site in Springfield, VA. You will work with software developers, ETL engineers, and data specialists to build and maintain data-driven applications supporting mission partners.

This role requires TS/SCI clearance, a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), and at least 5 years in data analytics. You will evaluate datasets, document gaps, and communicate findings to government officials while

Qualifications

• Must have current/active TS/SCI clearance and be willing and able to obtain a CI polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent years of experience.
• At least 5 years of experience as a data analyst, data scientist or similar.
• Experience formulating a repeatable process for data evaluations and communicating findings to government officials.
• In-depth knowledge of data types including Technical Telemetry Data and telecom protocol data types.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with strong time-management and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments.
• Experience with software engineers to validate technical implementations in applications.
• Experience with Python, SQL, Spark, PySpark or similar.
• On-site work in Herndon, VA, with Springfield, VA as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform and develop dataset evaluations to inform government decision making.
• Shape data engineering approaches for analytic tradecraft improvements.
• Identify and document gaps within data corpus and analytical capabilities.
• Collaborate with software developers to field requirements and feedback.
• Provide SME support to end-users for data or application questions.
