Job summary

VxL is seeking a security professional to control and monitor access to a secure government facility. You will verify identities, inspect entries, and maintain accurate records while supporting rotating shifts and 24/7 coverage where required.

The role requires active TS/SCI clearance, US citizenship, and the ability to stand for long periods. CPR/First Aid certification is needed, with training provided as required.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with personnel security systems such as DISS (2+ years).
• Current CPR, AED, First Aid certification (or able to obtain before start).
• Able to walk, stand, sit, and stoop for up to 12 hours.
• Fluent in English; able to understand and apply written rules and procedures.
• Eligible for a DoD Common Access Card (CAC).
• Willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement and, if required, submit to a counterintelligence polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Control personnel and equipment access at assigned posts.
• Run face-to-face identity checks and verify clearances using government security systems.
• Issue visitor badges and process visitor sign-in.
• Inspect entries and exits and validate access forms and markings.
• Keep the shift log current and brief the incoming shift at each shift change.
• Inventory equipment and logs at shift change.
• Conduct roving security checks during the shift.
• Make emergency notifications by procedure.
• Report to post a few minutes early to support shift turnover.
• Complete required security and annual training (scheduled off post, with relief coverage).
