Job summary

Trace3 is seeking a Network Engineer III to join our on-site team in the Baltimore/Annapolis Junction area. You will integrate with the Engineering team to deploy critical IT networks for federal or commercial programs.

You will design, install, and maintain network systems, work with routers, switches, firewalls, and storage, and deliver high-quality, timely solutions with a sense of urgency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• TS security clearance required, SCI eligibility preferred.
• Experience with routers, switches, firewalls (Cisco/Aruba/Juniper).
• VMware vCenter and NSX-T experience.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, OpenShift, Tanzu and DevOps.
• Familiarity with AWS, CNCF, CI/CD and cybersecurity.
• Experience working in a DevOps environment.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day on-site interaction with customers and project teams.
• Design, implement, and document network architectures for enterprise environments.
• Install, configure, and maintain network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Troubleshoot network issues and deliver timely, high-quality results.
• Mentor level-one engineers and contribute to documentation.
• Support enterprise technologies and load balancing, security products.
