Job summary

LMI is seeking a Supply Chain and Industrial Base Analyst in Tysons, VA to assess suppliers, procurement activity, inventory, and production conditions for critical parts and assemblies. The role builds a traceable picture of the supply network, identifying constraints and informing sourcing decisions.

The ideal candidate will be curious, rigorous, and adept at working across defense logistics and industrial base data, with a focus on verifiable findings and clear communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Active TS Clearance required.
• Experience in defense logistics, supply chain analysis, industrial base assessment, procurement, or sustainment.
• Ability to analyze purchasing, inventory, supplier, or contract performance records.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and data analysis tools; strong writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Review parts lists to identify parts, assemblies, and suppliers.
• Link part numbers, NSNs/NIINs, CAGE codes, and current sources.
• Analyze procurement history, inventory posture, lead times, and supplier risk.
• Identify stock-outs, obsolescence, and production delays.
• Document findings with sources, dates, confidence, and questions.
• Collaborate with technical specialists to connect part issues to assemblies.
• Develop dossiers on priority parts and suppliers with actions.
• Support authorized supplier outreach and evidence gap closure.
• Summarize findings in clear products, inventories, and stakeholder briefings.
