Requirements include a JD, Michigan licensure, and 10+ years in estate planning, trust and estate settlement, with strong tax and succession planning experience. The ideal candidate will handle complex matters and develop client relationships.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school
• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Michigan
• 10+ years in estate planning, trusts & estate settlement, and related tax/corporate matters
• Strong foundation in estate planning, tax, probate and trust law
• Experience serving high net worth families with estate planning needs

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive estate plans tailored to client goals
• Advise on tax implications and strategies to minimize taxes (gift and estate tax planning)
• Handle probate processes, including court proceedings and asset distribution
• Manage and administer trusts in compliance with laws and trust documents
• Pursue business development opportunities with prospective clients
