Job summary

Orionplacement is seeking a detail-oriented paralegal specializing in trusts and estates to join our boutique legal team in San Jose. You will support attorneys through estate planning, probate matters, and related client needs, using WealthDocs to prepare and organize documents.

With 2+ years of directly relevant experience, you will manage deadlines, maintain case files, and communicate professionally with clients, courts, and staff in a collaborative in-person office environment.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of trusts and estates paralegal experience.
  • Hands-on WealthDocs experience is required.
  • Probate and estate planning experience.
  • Strong knowledge of legal document preparation and case management.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Support attorneys with estate planning and probate matters from client intake through completion.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain estate planning documents using WealthDocs.
  • Assist with probate administration, trust administration, and related court matters.
  • Prepare and coordinate legal documents, correspondence, forms, and filings.
  • Assist with conservatorship and court-supervised trust matters as needed.
  • Coordinate deadlines, appointments, client communications, and case-related follow-up.
  • Gather and organize financial, family, and other information needed for estate planning and probate matters.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, government agencies, and other parties.
  • Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical case files.
  • Work closely with attorneys and other staff to keep matters moving efficiently.
  • Provide dependable administrative and substantive legal support across multiple active matters.

Location

San Jose, California. This is a fully on site position designed for someone who enjoys working closely with attorneys, paralegals, and clients in a collaborative office environment. Candidates may relocate at their own expense; relocation assistance is not provided.

Note

Must have 2+ years of directly relevant trusts and estates experience and hands-on WealthDocs experience. Candidates should have practical experience supporting probate and/or estate planning matters in a law firm or similar legal environment.
