A Chicago law firm is seeking a Trusts and Estates Attorney to handle sophisticated estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters in a client-focused, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include drafting customized estate planning documents, managing administrations from inception to probate, and advising on tax-efficient strategies. Illinois Bar admission and 2–5 years of focused experience are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Licensed and in good standing with The Illinois Bar.
• 2-5 years of focused experience in estate planning, trust administration, and probate.
• Strong knowledge of Illinois estate, trust, and tax law.
• Excellent drafting, research, and client communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently with attention to detail and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on estate and wealth transfer strategies, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
• Draft estate planning documents tailored to complex family and business structures.
• Manage trust and estate administrations from inception through probate and fiduciary accountings.
• Provide guidance on tax-efficient planning and charitable giving.
• Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and fiduciaries to deliver integrated client solutions.
