Job Overview:
A well-established boutique law firm in Florham Park, NJ, is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Trusts & Estates Associate Attorney to join its growing practice. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in estate and trust planning and administration for high-net-worth clients. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside top-tier attorneys, gaining significant responsibilities in a dynamic and collaborative environment. A strong foundation in fiduciary litigation is a plus, with a willingness to learn encouraged.

Location:

Duties:

  • Handle sophisticated estate planning and trust administration for high-net-worth individuals and families.
  • Assist in the preparation of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
  • Work with clients to develop comprehensive estate and tax plans.
  • Manage the administration of trusts and estates, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Advise clients on the management of estates, including tax implications and asset distribution.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to handle complex fiduciary litigation matters.
  • Provide guidance to clients and families regarding asset protection, wealth preservation, and legacy planning.

Requirements:

  • Active New Jersey Bar admission (additional bar admissions in New York, Florida, and/or Pennsylvania are a plus).
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in trusts and estates planning and administration.
  • Proven experience with high-net-worth individuals and families.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage complex legal matters independently while working as part of a team.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to tasks and client relationships.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Additional state bar licenses (preferred, but not required).
