Job summary

The Cobb County School District is seeking a School Bus Driver to transport students to and from assigned education centers. You will ensure safe operation, maintain discipline on the bus and follow the published route schedule.

Requirements include High School education or GED, a Georgia CDL with S and P and air brake endorsements, and three years driving experience. Successful completion of bus driver training and a 20‑day probation is required.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED preferred.
• Valid Georgia CDL with S and P and air brake endorsements to drive a school bus.
• Must complete Bus Driver Training and a 20‑day probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Drives designated route according to stop schedule and transports students.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus.
• Maintains bus cleanliness and monitors student behavior for safety.
• Reports delays, accidents and unusual situations to Transportation.
• Maintains cordial relations with parents, staff and the public.
