Vercel is seeking a Software Engineer focused on Trust & Safety to build and operate defenses at internet scale. You will analyze threat actor behavior, research LLM-driven detection, and collaborate with product, security, and infra teams to ship scalable protections.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in abuse prevention, trust & safety, or security engineering.
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and Python.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, evaluation, and fine-tuning.
• Collaborate with security, product, and infrastructure teams to deploy production systems.
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, including AWS.
• Experience owning systems end-to-end, from research to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze threat actor behavior and evolving abuse patterns to inform detection.
• Research and implement LLM-driven techniques for abuse detection and prevention.
• Design production-ready systems that detect and disrupt abuse across the platform.
• Build and refine internal tools, datasets, and evaluation pipelines for trust and safety.
• Collaborate with security, product, and infra teams to ship scalable solutions.
