Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage large-scale regulatory compliance projects from initial scoping through to completion, with a primary focus on major global laws like the Digital Services Act and the Online Safety Act
  • Proactively plan and execute initiatives - both technical and non-technical - to prepare for new and forthcoming regulatory requirements

  • Lead activities to monitor compliance controls, investigate any deviations, and confirm that our safeguards are effective. You will also manage the implementation of recommendations from internal and external audits
  • Engage in risk assessments, and then build and track mitigation strategies to address potential threats to compliance and user safety
  • Facilitate the strategic development and execution of compliance frameworks that are robust enough to handle current regulations while also being flexible enough to adapt to emerging challenges
  • Act as a bridge between internal teams to ensure that compliance standards and best practices are seamlessly integrated into product development and operational workflows
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance regulatory processes, leveraging insights and feedback to foster a culture of ongoing improvement within Trust & Safety
  • Regularly communicate with senior leadership, in partnership with Legal and Operations, providing updates on project status, compliance gaps, strategic decisions, and prioritization
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in UGC regulatory compliance, Trust & Safety, program management, or a related field within the technology, internet, or digital services sector
  • Deep understanding of global regulatory frameworks such as the DSA, OSA, and other relevant emerging regulations impacting digital platforms

  • Strong data literacy, with a working knowledge of data analysis tools and a demonstrated ability to translate legal requirements into technical specifications
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of effectively engaging and influencing senior leadership and aligning diverse teams
  • Experience preparing for audits or managing responses to regulatory inquiries (RFIs), and an ability to drive continuous process improvements
  • Ability to handle sensitive content and emotionally charged escalations with tact, and to work with a self-motivated, results-oriented mindset
  • Collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with a strong ability to work cross-functionally and manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
