Job summary

City National Bank is seeking a Trust Portfolio Manager 1 to collaborate with Portfolio Managers and assist in executing investment programs for client relationships. The role involves managing a book of portfolios within policy guidelines and compiling investment research for committee contributions.

You will directly handle securities transactions, monitor asset allocations, and prepare for Trust Investment Committee meetings while supporting business development and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Familiarity with a broad range of trust and investment services.
• Familiarity with overall investment markets.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Willingness to attend Trust School.
• Overnight travel may be necessary on a limited basis.
• Work is indoors in an environmentally controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct purchase, sale and redemption of investment securities.
• Work closely with portfolio managers on asset allocation of client portfolios.
• Daily monitoring of the Divisions’ approved securities.
• Support and maintenance of the Divisions’ approved securities lists.
• Perform due diligence on Divisions’ closely held securities lists.
• Perform annual Reg 9 reviews with Trust Administrative Officers.
• Meet with prospective and existing clients to review financial objectives.
• Support new business development officers with proposals and client presentations.
• Assist Trust Portfolio Managers with special projects.
• Adherence to regulatory policies and procedures.
• Participate in community-based activities.
