Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking a Trust Operations Specialist - Client Service in Denver to handle complex client inquiries about investments and trust operations. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, KYC, and security standards while delivering exemplary service across chat, calls, and email.

The candidate will analyze issues, educate clients and advisers on asset types, fees, and ERISA guidelines, and assist in process improvements.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience in a customer success role involving detailed transactions.
• 1-2 years in a fast-paced call center environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of trust accounting systems, IRAs, and Alternative Assets preferred.
• ABA CISP and RITA SDIP designations preferred.
• Proficient in IRC 4975, ERISA guidelines, and IRS publications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve client inquiries across multiple asset types with high accuracy.
• Follow regulatory and security standards including KYC, GLBA, BSA, ERISA, IRS rules.
• Provide omni-channel support via chat, calls, emails, and written correspondence.
• Educate advisors, clients, and third parties on assets, fees, and procedures.
• Draft professional responses and manage low-level escalations.
• Identify improvements to enhance client experience and document issues for management.
