Job summary

ABOC in Chicago is seeking a Trust Operations Specialist to coordinate the Fed trade settlement process and oversee daily workflows within Trust Operations. The role focuses on ensuring accurate settlements, balancing daily activity, and supporting related duties across the department.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, familiarity with Microsoft 365, and knowledge of trust/trade practices, with ~2 years of experience in trade settlements in financial services.

Qualifications

• Microsoft 365 experience is required.
• Knowledge of trust/trade practices and procedures, with ~2 years in a trade settlement role or related financial services experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the processing of Fed trade settlements and input to the Trust Accounting System.
• Oversee the daily workflow of Trust Operations functions.
• Identify opportunities for productivity improvements and system enhancements.
• Assist in transitioning new account assets, settlement, reconciliation, and balancing of daily trade activity and accounts.

ABOC is hiring a Trust Operations Specialist. This position is responsible for coordination of the Fed trade settlement process.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitors the processing of all Fed trade settlements including the input to the Trust Accounting System.
• Oversee the daily workflow of various functions within Trust Operations.
• Identifies and recommends opportunities for productivity improvements and system enhancements.
• Assists as needed in various areas including transitioning of new account assets; settlement, reconciliation and balancing of daily trade activity and accounts; processing of Class Actions and Bankruptcies; Pair-offs and other duties as assigned.
• Acts as backup to other departmental functions.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Microsoft 365 Experience
• Knowledge of trust/trade practices and procedures is normally attained in two years of trade settlement experience in a trust department or brokerage firms’ or other financial services institution. (required)
