Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking a Trust Operations Specialist to manage accounting functions for trusts, estates, and IRAs. You will post transactions in the trust system, ensure accuracy, and archive related documents while adhering to client instructions.

You will proactively contact clients to update them on requests, resolve issues, and learn complex distributions under supervision. The role emphasizes compliance and teamwork in a fast-paced banking environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior financial services or transaction processing experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Post all transactions on the trust accounting system accurately.
• Process transactions per client instructions and document archival.
• Communicate with clients by phone to advise status and resolve issues.
• Assist in cashiering for institutional conversions/deconversions.
• Develop understanding of complex distributions and processing tasks.
• Follow bank policies, compliance rules, and training requirements.
