The Trust Company seeks a Trust Officer & Wealth Advisor to deliver exemplary client service, manage accounts, and coordinate estate planning and wealth transfer tasks. You will collaborate with a team to ensure accurate transactions, regulatory compliance, and timely communications with clients.

Ideal candidates hold a related degree, strong MS Office and CRM/DMS experience, and a commitment to confidentiality and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proficient in typing and general computer skills.
  • Experience with MS Office and spreadsheet prep required.
  • Prior investment, banking, trust, or financial services experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with good judgment.
  • Interest in continuing education or certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for clients with timely, professional support.
  • Initiate and respond to written communications with clients and professionals.
  • Assist clients with account management and collaborate with teammates.
  • Monitor account transactions with the team to ensure accuracy.
  • Review transactions for accuracy.
  • Maintain CRM client and prospect data including tasks.
  • Maintain client and prospect files in DMS with metadata.
  • Review monthly regulatory account reviews and ensure client expectations.
  • Schedule client meetings and manage follow-up materials.
  • Assist with fiduciary tax filings and estimated tax payments.
  • Support business development and event participation.
  • Record and maintain all sales opportunities in CRM.
  • Stay current on estate planning knowledge and document creation.
  • Collaborate with Estate Settlement Officer for wealth transfer services.
  • Assist with estate planning services and document drafting.

Key Responsibilities
Trust Officer & Wealth Advisor Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for clients, providing timely, professional support and addressing their needs.
  • Initiate and respond to written communication (electronic and postal) with clients and other professionals.
  • Assist clients with account management, while working with co-workers as a team to serve individual client needs.
  • Monitor account transactions in collaboration with other team members to ensure accuracy.
  • Reviewing transactions to ensure the accuracy of all related transactions.
  • Maintain client and prospect data in the CRM, including task management.
  • Maintain client and prospect files in the DMS with accurate metadata.
  • Review and approve monthly regulatory account reviews to ensure all relationships are meeting client expectations and to complete follow-up requirements as reviews necessitate additional documentation.
  • Complete client meetings, including scheduling, preparing materials, and managing follow-up activities.
  • Assist clients with fiduciary tax filings and the execution of estimated tax payments.
  • Assist in business development and sales, which may include attending events and participating in community, civic, or charitable organizations.
  • Ensure all sales opportunities are accurately recorded and maintained in the CRM.
  • Maintain fund of knowledge regarding the creation of estate planning documents and the implementation of these documents.
  • Work in partnership with the Estate Settlement Officer and other team members to provide transfer of wealth services when assigned Trustee and Executor responsibilities.
  • Assist clients with estate planning services and work in conjunction with those drafting documents to serve clients with their end-of-life plans.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Basic typing, computer, and software skills are required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and spreadsheet preparation is required.
  • Prior experience in investment, banking, trust, legal, or financial services is preferred.
  • Proven commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and grammatical skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in team settings to show flexibility and versatility.
  • Ability to manage a variety of tasks and prioritize individual workload responsibilities.
  • Ability to work with strict confidentiality requirements, as well as exercise good judgment in the preparation and distribution of confidential information.
  • An interest in pursuing continuing education opportunities, degrees, or certifications that will further expand knowledge for adding value in this role.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time; adjustable stand‑up desks are available upon request.
  • Ability to read computer screens, mail, e‑mail and talk on the phone.
  • Ability to unpack and move supplies up to twenty‑five (25) pounds.
  • Ability to drive an automobile.Ability to travel as directed by position requirements.
