Job summary

BitGo is seeking a Trust Officer to work full-time onsite in Sioux Falls, SD. You will oversee onboarding, KYC reviews, and trust account administration, ensuring regulatory compliance and strong client service throughout the lifecycle.

You will collaborate with Compliance, Legal and Risk teams while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws and BitGo products. A bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of client-facing trust experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 4+ years of client-facing experience with trust/w wealth services.
• Experience with KYC reviews and onboarding institutional clients.
• Working knowledge of BSA/AML, CIP, FATF guidance and trust principles.
• Strong verbal/written communication; ability to explain complex trust concepts.
• Detail-oriented with proficiency in spreadsheets and document review tools.

This role will require being full-time onsite at our Sioux Falls office to support collaborative team dynamics and innovative problem-solving.
BitGo/BitGo Trust Company is currently looking to hire a Trust Officer to work out of Sioux Falls, SD. This role will report into the Director of Trust Administration. BitGo Trust Officers are responsible for a blend of client onboarding, KYC/AML review, and trust account administration. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our clients are onboarded efficiently and in compliance with regulatory standards, while also maintaining oversight of accounts throughout the customer lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the full lifecycle of trust accounts under administration, from onboarding through termination.
• Perform client onboarding reviews (KYC), including identity/document verification, adverse media and sanctions screening, and risk-based assessments.
• Serve as a key contributor in the account acceptance process, ensuring all new clients meet internal and regulatory standards prior to opening.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, and Risk teams to ensure adherence to AML, BSA, and trust company policies during onboarding and account maintenance.
• Maintain strong client relationships by providing responsive service, answering questions, and proactively addressing client needs throughout the customer journey.
• Participate in trust distributions, review of trust documents, and implementation of account-specific instructions (discretionary and directed).
• Perform annual and periodic trust account reviews to ensure compliance, documentation accuracy, and service consistency.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws, trust regulations, and BitGo products and services.
• Escalate unusual account activity, complex asset types, or document deficiencies to internal stakeholders for review and resolution.

Skills And Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree. An advanced degree or certification preferred.
• 4+ years of client-facing experience, with 1+ years in trust administration, wealth management, or financial services.
• Experience conducting KYC reviews and onboarding high-net-worth or institutional clients.
• Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks (BSA/AML, CIP, FATF guidance) and trust acceptance principles.
• Highly effective verbal and written communication skills, including ability to explain complex trust/account concepts to clients.
• Strong attention to detail and proficiency with spreadsheets, document review tools, and onboarding platforms (e.g., "Persona").
• Proven ability to manage multiple client relationships with urgency, care, and accountability.
• Comfort working in a digital-first, fast-paced environment with evolving regulatory expectations.
