Job Description: Paralegal

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of North Carolina Trust & Estates experience (preferred but not required)
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational and drafting skills
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Willingness to learn and adapt

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and court orders
  • Correspond with clients and prepare spreadsheets and documents
  • File pleadings and manage e-filing procedures
  • Coordinate delivery of subpoenas
  • Conduct intake calls and prepare attorneys for consultations
  • Assist in mediations, depositions, hearings, trials, and conferences
  • Draft discovery requests and manage deadlines
  • Assist clients with discovery compliance and document compilation

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree and paralegal certification preferred but not required
  • Strong understanding of North Carolina law
  • Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent prioritization and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn new software and adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of tax law is a plus
