Job summary

Quarles & Brady LLP seeks a highly-qualified associate in the Chicago office for the Trust & Estates Group. The candidate should have 2–6 years of experience in estate planning, including GST-exempt trusts, GRATs, SLATs and IDGTs, and post-mortem administration. Tax return preparation and Form 706/709/1041 review experience is valued.

The ideal candidate should have considerable experience planning and drafting for clients with taxable estates, including the transfer of multi-generational wealth through the use of GST-exempt trusts, GRATs, SLATs and IDGTs and other complex estate planning instruments. The ideal candidate should also have experience with post-mortem administration, tax return preparation and/or review of Forms 706, 709 and 1041. Excellent academic credentials and strong organizational, drafting and analytical skills and experience are a must. Compensation is determined by the market in which the position is located, the responsibilities of the position, the experience, education, and skills of the applicant, including book of business for more experienced roles, and other job-related factors.
