Atlassian is expanding its Trust Engagement team in the United States. This Senior Manager will lead AMER-based professionals, shaping enterprise strategy and aligning security, compliance, and customer trust initiatives with Go-To-Market and Legal partners.

  • 10+ years in management roles within security, governance, risk and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Trust Engagement team’s interactions with Trust & Security, GTM/Sales, Compliance, Privacy, Legal, and Customer Support.
  • Enhance Trust & Security practices and drive strategic improvements to internal processes.
  • Influence security and compliance product features and drive customer engagement at scale.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to achieve trust outcomes across regions and functions.
  • Act as primary contact for escalations, ensuring timely resolution and post-incident improvements.
  • Support executive briefings by presenting Atlassian’s Trust Strategy in pre/post sales engagements.

The Trust Engagement team is a globally distributed team of security & compliance professionals that help our customers to perform risk assessments they require to trust our company and products.

Atlassian is rapidly growing our Trust Engagement team and we need experienced and motivated people to help us meet our goals. As a Senior Manager, you will drive the growth and expansion of how we earn and maintain customer trust.

Responsibilities
What you’ll do

You will oversee the team’s interactions with Trust & Security, Go-To-Market/Sales, Compliance, Privacy, Legal, and Customer Support. Your primary focus will be on enhancing Trust & Security practices, driving strategic enhancements to our internal processes, influencing security and compliance product features, and strengthening customer engagement. You will never have a dull moment as you enable our customers' Trust in Atlassian by understanding and meeting a wide range of customers current and future expectations as it relates to trusting our Cloud Products.

In This Role, You Will
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and manage a high performing team of AMER based professionals, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement across the Trust Engagement function.
  • Contribute to strategic planning for the Trust Engagement function with senior leadership, shaping and executing a winning enterprise strategy that aligns with Atlassian’s Trust objectives.
  • Drive improvements in processes, tooling, and reporting to enhance the effectiveness and scalability of Trust Engagement programs.
  • Partner cross functionally with security, compliance, and legal teams on strategic initiatives that deliver customer trust outcomes at scale.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Strategic & Enterprise customer escalations, driving timely resolution and preventing recurrence through post incident reviews and process improvements.
  • Support Atlassian Executive Briefings by presenting Atlassian’s Trust Strategy to customers in pre and post sales engagements.
  • Support legal in negotiating security and compliance terms & exhibits for Atlassian Customer Agreements.
Your background
  • On your first day, we’ll expect you to have:
    • 10+ years of progressive experience across management roles, in Security, Governance, Risk, and Compliance domains.
    • Experience mentoring and developing high performing teams, with a track record of elevating team capability and fostering a culture of excellence.
    • Demonstrated ability to influence cross functional teams and drive organizational change in security, risk, and compliance domains.
    • Proven success in driving programs that scale trust and security practices across large organizations.
    • Demonstrated use of AI tools to improve team efficiency and scale trust engagement workflows
    • Familiarity with AI security and compliance considerations (e.g., data residency, model transparency, vendor attestations)
    • Evidence of impact beyond individual projects, such as shaping strategy or leading initiatives that span multiple departments or regions.
    • Proven ability to brief and influence executives and customers on trust, security, and compliance strategy.
    • Knowledge of various compliance and security certifications (FedRAMP, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, etc.)
    • Experience working with Regulatory Compliance, Global Privacy Programs, Cloud Security or related functions.
    • Experience in a large-scale enterprise Cloud solutions.

Role

In The United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $221,400 - $289,050

Zone B: $199,800 - $260,850

Zone C: $184,500 - $240,875
