Withum is seeking a Trust and Estate Tax Supervisor in a hybrid NYC/Princeton, NJ area role. You will lead audits and engagements, review fiduciary returns, and provide planning for high net worth clients while mentoring staff and coordinating with a broad client base.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in public accounting, a CPA or eligibility, and strong client service and communication skills. Travel as needed and career growth with Withum's Tax Services Group are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Masters of Science in Taxation preferred.
• CPA License preferred or plan to obtain.
• At least 4 years of public accounting experience.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills.

• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills.

But our commitment goes beyond our clients as we continue to live the Withum Way, promoting personal and professional growth for all team members, clients, and surrounding communities.**How you'll spend your time:*** Reviewing complex gift, estate, and fiduciary income tax returns, including related schedules and forms* Reviewing of fiduciary accountings for estates and trusts* Providing tax planning and consulting to our firm’s high net worth client for estate and individual income taxes* Researching and consulting on various estate, gift, and trust related issues, such as trustee and beneficiary issues, Crummey obligations, and generation skipping tax issues* Identifying additional estate and income tax planning opportunities for clients* Overseeing billing and collections of clients* Managing, coaching, and mentoring staff, seniors, and supervisors* Researching and drafting memorandum involving complex tax matters* Identifying and implementing tax planning opportunities* Overseeing complete tax research projects for a variety of clients and diverse industries* Managing multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines* Conducting constructive discussions with team members on their evaluations and providing counsel accordingly* Serving in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader**The kinds of people we want to talk to have many of the following:*** Bachelor's degree in accounting, Masters of Science in Taxation is preferred* CPA License (preferred) or plan to obtain license* At least 4 years of public accounting experience* Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships* Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects* Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the Firm well to client’s management* Excellent analytical, organizational, project management skills, strong attention to detail, and proven innovative problem-solving skills* Ability to travel as needed based on client assignments*The compensation for this position ranges are noted below.
