Position

Trust and Estate Settlement Support Associate – role at Busey.

Position overview: The Trust and Estate Settlement Support Associate provides administrative, operational, and client service support to the Trust and Estate Settlement team. This role helps ensure the efficient execution of post-mortem trust and estate settlement services by assisting with documentation, communication, and coordination across internal teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the administration of post-mortem trust and estate settlements, including document preparation, file maintenance, and deadline tracking.
  • Coordinate and schedule client meetings, prepare meeting materials, and follow up on action items.
  • Support the collection and organization of information required for estate and trust reporting, tax filings, and legal documentation.
  • Maintain the integrity of client files and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor account activity and cash positions to ensure sufficient liquidity for distributions and expenses.
  • Facilitate communication with beneficiaries, co-fiduciaries, and professional advisors.
  • Assist with onboarding new estate and trust accounts, including account opening and documentation review.
  • Prepare and distribute reports, including fee reviews, estate summaries, and court filings.
  • Support internal and external outreach initiatives, including educational events and Center of Influence (COI) engagement.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Trust and Estate Settlement team, including project coordination and special assignments.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary offered is based on factors including but not limited to job duties, required qualifications and relevant experience, and local market trends. The role may be eligible for bonus or incentives based on company and individual performance. Base Pay Range: $26 - $32 per hour.
