Job Details

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Draft, review, and revise estate planning documents wills, trusts, POAs, directives
• Consult with clients to assess goals and recommend custom estate planning strategies
• Advise clients on estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxes
• Coordinate with financial advisors and CPAs on comprehensive plans
• Participate in probate discussions and represent clients in probate proceedings
• Oversee estates paralegal and guardianship hearing representation
  
  

Qualifications Needed

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active NC and SC Bar Admission (mandatory)
• SC Rule 403 court appearance certification (or ability to obtain)
• Minimum 5 years of estate planning and trust law experience
• Deep knowledge of tax laws affecting estate planning
• Proven ability to handle client communications, drafting, and court presence
• Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills
• Preferred LL.M. in Taxation and experience with complex trusts/high-net-worth clients
