Qualifications

About the Team

Virtus from FIS is a leading provider of alternative investment services and technology solutions, specializing in delivering comprehensive front, middle, and back-office services to asset managers, banks, and other institutional investors. Virtus helps its clients manage their alternative investment portfolios, including CLO/CDOs, private equity, hedge funds, and other alternative assets.

What You Will Be Doing

The Middle Office Team maintains the books and records for collateral managers that have outsourced middle office operations. As Trust Administrator II, you will reconcile and maintain data on the client's behalf, as well as review monthly and quarterly reports.

  • Support assigned Trust Account Manager(s) in the administration of structured finance accounts
  • Interact in an ongoing relationship with associated financial partners and trust clients to ensure client satisfaction
  • Perform daily account activity:
    • Posting receipts
    • Entering trade orders and check/wire requests
    • Raising cash for distributions
    • Handle account inquiries
    • Submitting ACH transfer instructions
    • Open/close accounts
    • Research account discrepancies
  • Reconcile various cash flows, accounts, data sets, as well as calculate fee sharing data
  • Administer all systems related to the management of corporate trust accounts
  • Maintain all account documentation for current and historical monitoring of accounts

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
  • Typically, at least 2 years of professional, financial services industry experience
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPS) and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with calculating financial reconciliations
  • Ability to multi-task and interact well with team members and trust account managers

Added Bonus If You Have

  • Trust system experience (CDO Suite, Solvas, etc.)
  • Understanding and experience with syndicated loans, CLO/CDOs, or corporate trust securities
