Job summary

Tibbetts Lumber Co. LLC is seeking an experienced Truss Department Associate in Ocala, FL. Under direct supervision, you will perform a variety of yard activities, including reviewing job lists, site visits with photos, and ensuring materials align with invoices.

This position emphasizes safety and customer service in a growing lumber and building materials operation. Ideal candidates have a GED or high school diploma and at least six months related experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of different types of lumber.
• Knowledge of safety procedures while performing tasks.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of company products/inventory available at the work location.
• Ability to read and understand invoices and requisitions.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receive and review job list, created by the truss department, and map for efficiency.
• Visit each job site, take pictures to send back to the truss department, with a written note on the status of the job.
• Review materials loaded against invoice or requisition; complete and route paperwork appropriately
• Move product/material throughout the yard ensuring placement in correct areas
• All other duties as assigned

Experience Required:

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and six months experience with performing these or similar tasks; or equivalent combination of training, education and experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Knowledge of various types of lumber
• Knowledge of safety procedures while performing tasks
• Strong customer service skills
• Knowledge of company products/inventory available at work location
• Ability to read and understand invoices and requisitions
