Role Summary

Our Class A Delivery Drivers deliver roof trusses, floor trusses, I-joists, and LVL packages to job sites. Drivers operate day cab tractors and roll-off trailers up to 74 feet long. They are home daily and usually off on weekends. This is a physical role; drivers are responsible for loading, checking, securing, delivering, and unloading loads.

Scope Of The Position

Drivers are based at the Westmoreland, TN site, with daily regional deliveries.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a professional image representing Wilson Lumber Company on roads, job sites, and in the yard.
  • Load and deliver products to customer sites, including forklift unloading.
  • Ensure loads are properly secured and balanced for safe transport.
  • Unload products safely and according to customer instructions and company policy.
  • Operate trucks safely following company standards.
  • Maintain delivery schedules.
  • Interact courteously with customers and colleagues to ensure timely service.
  • Obtain receipts and signatures for deliveries.
  • Comply with all regulations.
Position Qualifications
  • Class A CDL with a clean MVR.
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission.
  • Capability to drive in various weather and site conditions.
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
Education and Experience
  • At least 5 years of CDL driving experience.
  • 2 years of oversized/wide load delivery experience.
  • 2 years of customer service/delivery experience.
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Drive in all seasons and conditions.

You may be asked to perform other duties as directed by management.
