Job summary

Mead Lumber's Truss Craft of Wyoming seeks a Component Sales Representative in Cheyenne to build strong contractor relationships and promote wall panels, floor trusses, and roof trusses. You’ll apply industry knowledge to identify project needs and provide technical product information while pursuing sales opportunities.

The role emphasizes relationship-building with customers and crews, understanding architectural plans, and coordinating deliveries to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Five or more years of truss sales, truss design, or related industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of trusses, component manufacturing, and residential or commercial framing practices.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand blueprints, architectural drawings, structural plans, and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, subcontractors, customers, vendors, and company branches.
• Identify customer and project needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
• Prepare and follow up on quotes, estimates, sales opportunities, and customer projects.
• Coordinate deliveries and ensure specifications are communicated accurately.
• Build and maintain strong relationships to support continued business growth.
