Job summary

Tindell's, Inc. in Knoxville is seeking a Truss Builder for 1st shift. You will train and assemble roof and floor trusses for new construction homes, guided by the Engineering team to meet schedule.

You’ll work with a crew, read specs, use hand and small power tools, and be part of a hands-on career path with benefits including weekly pay and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, understand, and follow directions.
• Comfortable communicating with coworkers and supervisors (verbal and written).
• Familiar with hand tools and small power tools (or ready to learn).
• Able to bend, lift, and stand for extended periods.
• Team-player mindset with a great attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assemble trusses to provided specifications.
• Complete assignments from your Supervisor on time to meet the manufacturing schedule.
• Make sure plates are set correctly and finished orders are properly banded.
• Mark bundles clearly with job name and job number.
• Keep equipment and your work area neat and in good working order.

What You’ll Build

As a Truss Builder - Roof and Floor Trusses - We will train!, you’ll help assemble roof and floor trusses for new construction homes—built to spec from our Engineering team so builders can stay on schedule.

Key responsibilities:
- Assemble trusses to provided specifications
- Complete assignments from your Supervisor on time to meet the manufacturing schedule
