Parr Lumber Company in Harrisburg, Oregon is seeking a Truss Builder to manufacture roof and floor trusses using a framing hammer, nail plates, and power tools. The role requires reading a tape measure, attention to quality, and working with the Sawyer and Truss Stacker to ensure defect-free products.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 100 pounds, work outdoors in all weather, and maintain a steady, efficient pace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Reliable transportation required
• Puncture and slip resistant footwear required
• Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 100 pounds
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
• Willingness to work at a steady, urgent pace

Responsabilités

• Inspect materials for damage prior to use (cracks, wane, mold, sun damage)
• Assist with unloading precut lumber from saws to building station
• Grab the correct amount of nail plates using pull sheets
• Fabricate trusses by placing lumber and assembling with nail plates and a hammer
• Ensure truss quality per standard procedures (tight joints, no defects)
• Maintain a steady pace with a sense of urgency; meet daily workload goals
• Maintain a clean work area and proper safety practices
• Perform other related duties as assigned
