Job summary

Clayton is seeking a Roof Truss Builder to construct roof trusses for Clayton Home Building Facilities. The role requires reading blueprints and cut sheets, accurate jig setup, and producing units that meet exact standards.

You will work efficiently with a partner to maintain quality and production pace while following safety and quality guidelines. This is a full-time on-site role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; or equivalent experience.
• Must have the ability to work well with a partner.
• Must have a passion for quality and be naturally attentive to details.
• Must be reliable and able to work at an efficient pace.
• Demonstrates honesty and integrity. Has a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Read a cut sheet and blueprint to build trusses that meet the approved standards.
• Check parts on assigned table/press to ensure proper setup of jig, cord, parts, and nails.
• Ensure proper nail placement, overhang and king post on every unit produced.
• Meet production requirements in a timely manner while ensuring quality.
• Other duties as assigned

Roof Truss Builder Job Profile: JP01133

Position Summary: The Roof Truss Builder’s primary responsibility is to build roof trusses for Clayton Home Building Facilities.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Builder must be able to read a cut sheet and blueprint to build trusses that meet the approved standards.
• Check parts on assigned table/press to ensure proper set up of jig, cord, parts, and nails according to individual truss blueprint.
• Ensure proper nail placement, overhang and king post on every unit produced.
• Be able to meet production requirements in a timely manner while also ensuring the quality of each truss.
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

• Work is primarily completed by standing or walking and may require bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching
