Job summary

Smart Trades in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking an Assembler / Truss Builder for 1st shift to assemble wood or metal trusses according to blueprints and production specs in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities include assembling trusses using lumber, plates and hand/power tools, measuring and cutting to meet quality standards, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and following all safety guidelines.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, basic math skills and tape measure

Qualifications

We're seeking Assembler / Truss Builders for a truss manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for assembling wood or metal trusses according to blueprints and production specifications in a fast-paced, production-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble trusses using lumber, plates, and appropriate hand and power tools per shop drawings
• Measure, cut, and position materials accurately to meet quality and production standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures consistently

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Basic math skills and proficiency using a tape measure
• Prior experience in construction or manufacturing preferred

Compensation: Pay rate: $18 per hour

Schedule (listed last): 1st shift, morning schedule

Monday–Friday, approximately 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
