Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts and assemble finished products per customer specifications. You will secure and manage parts and supplies, ensuring accuracy and quality throughout the assembly process.

Responsibilities include setting up the work area, using hand tools, labeling finished goods, and maintaining a safe, clean workspace. Safety, quality, and continuous improvement programs are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures; may cover, label, and band components finished product.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment; production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards.
• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
