Job summary

Darling Ingredients Inc. seeks a Truck Washer to support our wash bay operations. You will pull trucks and trailers into the wash bay, brush and spray-wash equipment, and ensure the wash area is clean and safe.

Experience in manufacturing or agricultural environments is preferred, and candidates must be at least 18 with a valid MVR. High school diploma or GED is preferred, and the role emphasizes safety and the ability to follow directions in a fast-paced plant setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be able to drive trucks, trailers and yard equipment.
• Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Manufacturing, industrial or agricultural experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to lead and take direction.

Responsibilities

• Pull trucks and trailers into the wash bay.
• Brush and spray-wash all trucks and trailers.
• Cleans out the wash bay.
• Maintain safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural experience preferred.
• Must be able to drive trucks, trailers and yard equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead; can give and take direction.
• Ability to deal with minor problems involving equipment or various situations.

Physical Demands

• Constantly required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
• Frequently lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs.
• Occasionally must push, pull, move or lift up to 100 lbs.
• Regularly required reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment

• Job functions will be carried out in an office environment and/or plant environment which requires tolerance for wet and/or slippery floors, and high heat and/or cold temperatures.
