Job summary

Clemens Food Group’s PV Transport division is seeking a Truck Wash Specialist in North Carolina. You will wash, disinfect, and inspect livestock trailers and equipment to ensure cleanliness and compliance with safety standards.

Training is provided, and you will follow USDA and company biosecurity guidelines daily. The role emphasizes independent work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining wash facilities, tracking supplies, and ensuring trailers are ready for animal transport.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred, not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret English language documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively with other Team Members of the organization.
  • Ability to perform basic Auditing/Inventory & ordering supplies.
  • Ability to calculate basic math using Metric & Standard units of measure.
  • Valid driver's license preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

As a Truck Wash Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that our trailers are clean and ready to hit the road. This includes washing the interiors and exteriors of trailers, performing routine maintenance checks, and inspecting for any damages or defects. What You’ll Do

Equipment & Technical Responsibilities
  • Operate trailer wash equipment, including the Bio-Dryer, following company procedures.
  • Assist with operating and monitoring the trailer wash separator system and maintaining proper pit levels.
  • Help identify equipment issues and report maintenance needs to supervisors.
  • Safely operate pressure washers, hoses, pumps, and other trailer wash equipment.
  • Follow USDA, company animal welfare, food safety, and biosecurity requirements during all cleaning and sanitation processes.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient trailer wash facility.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, & feel sensation. The Team Member is occasionally required to sit, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and talk or hear. The Team Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The Team Member is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and extreme heat. The Team Member is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
