Key Responsibilities

As a Truck Upfitter/Fabricator/Welder, you will:

  • Fabricate, install, and modify diverse truck bodies according to precise customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Install and integrate snow and ice equipment, ensuring optimal functionality, safety, and performance.
  • Design and implement custom lighting installations to enhance vehicle visibility and safety for our clients.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to assess project requirements, develop realistic timelines, and ensure project success.
  • Conduct thorough quality control checks on all fabricated components and installations to ensure compliance with industry best practices.
  • Maintain all tools and equipment in excellent working condition and strictly adhere to all company and industry safety regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed, identifying issues and implementing effective, lasting solutions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, communicating clearly and effectively with clients to ensure their satisfaction throughout the project.
  • Accurately document project progress, maintain detailed records, and promptly report any issues or deviations to the management team.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment by mentoring junior staff, sharing insights, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Required Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Proficiency in MIG welding with a proven ability to produce high-quality welds.
  • Solid experience in fabrication, including the safe and effective use of various fabrication tools and machinery (e.g., grinders, drills, saws, press brakes).
  • Demonstrated experience in truck body installations, as well as the installation of snow and ice equipment and lighting systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose issues, think critically, and implement effective, practical solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for seamless collaboration with team members, clients, and management.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, contributing positively to group goals and outcomes.
  • A strong commitment to safety protocols, ensuring a secure work environment for yourself and others, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
  • Must possess your own basic set of hand tools relevant to the trade.
