Job summary

Southeast Unloading is hiring hard-working unloaders (lumpers) to unload trucks, sort and stack product in a warehouse environment. Starts at $18/hr, Monday-Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm. Permanent full-time position based in the United States.

Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check and provide identity/eligibility to work in the United States. Reliable transportation is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate forklift and pallet jack in unloading process.
• Commitment to safety standards and procedures.
• Basic English reading, writing and mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Operates a forklift and/or pallet jack to assist in the unloading process.
• Removes product from trucks safely and efficiently, following all safety standards.
• Coordinates with receivers and tow motor operators to ensure proper flow of inbound product.
• Hand-stacks all floor loads with correct ti-hi labels, and no mixed product.
• Regularly ensures loads are handled to minimize product damage.
• Submits paperwork timely and wraps pallets for storage stability.

Job Description

Southeast Unloading is seeking to hire hard-working unloaders (lumpers) to unload trucks, sort and stack product in a warehouse environment.

Starts at $18/hr

Shif: Monday -Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operates a forklift and/or pallet jack to assist in the unloading process
• Removes product from trucks safely and efficiently, following all safety standards, procedures and processes
• Coordinates with receivers and tow motor operators to ensure proper flow of inbound product
• Hand-stacks all floor loads in appropriate manner with appropriate labels out, correct ti-hi's, and no mixed product
• Regularly ensures that product loads are properly handled to minimize damage to products
• Submits paperwork correctly and timely Wraps pallets to ensure stability when storing products

PHYSICAL + MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Stands, bends, stoops, squats, reaches, twists, and otherwise moves continuously
• Frequently walks throughout the workday
• Frequently reaches above shoulder level to lift or otherwise move objects that weigh 30 -- 50 pounds and occasionally, 50-100 pounds when unloading and sorting pallet products
• Pusses and pulls frequently
• Functions and operates comfortably in a very active fast-paced environment
• Endures extreme temperatures of heat and cold
• Withstands loud noise and distractions 20/20 Vision with correction
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Basic English reading, writing and mathematical skills
• Must have reliable transportation

We do not own the sites where we unload trucks but rather provide freight-unloading services, pallet management, tote washing, trailer stripping and other services such as driver-assisting, picking, will-call, export labeling, housekeeping, and janitorial to our customers' warehouses and distribution centers.
