The role requires proven diesel mechanic experience, familiarity with DOT regulations, and the ability to work independently with your own hand tools.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a diesel truck and/or trailer mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of heavy-duty truck systems including engines, brakes, and electrical.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and inspection procedures.
• Must supply own basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Perform preventive maintenance including oil changes, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
• Inspect and repair trailer components including landing gear, kingpins, and lighting systems.
• Troubleshoot diesel engine, transmission, and drivetrain issues.
• Conduct DOT inspections and ensure vehicles meet federal and state compliance standards.
• Repair and replace suspension, steering, and brake systems.
• Document all service and repair work accurately and efficiently.
