Peterson Trucks, Inc. located in San Leandro, CA, seeks a Truck Technician Trainee to perform qualified repairs and maintenance on heavy truck engines and chassis in the field for customers and fleets.
You will work under supervision to complete repairs, PMs, and inspections, with after-hours roadside support as needed, contributing to safety and quality in every job.

This position performs quality repairs and maintenance on all Heavy Truck and Diesel Engines as specified in manufacturer designed procedures or accepted industry practices, primarily in the field for customer and/or sales, rental fleet equipment, and field service.
Associates Degree from a fully accredited college or technical/vocational school in Diesel Technology other closely related field; and a minimum of 2 years of related experience, preferably in heavy trucks/fleet dealership or shop environment; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Knowledge on A/C system, brake system, emission systems, air systems and diagnostics / trouble shooting of diesel engines. Proven record of good customer service skills. International manufacturer experience is preferred.
The minimum pay rate for this position is: $34.00 (Starting wage will depend on experience and education. We also offer a total compensation package in addition to base salary.)
