Job summary

Chapman Auto Stores in Lancaster, PA is seeking an experienced Light & Medium-Duty Truck Technician to diagnose, service, and repair a mix of retail and fleet vehicles, including vans and service bodies. You will follow MPI video walkthroughs and work with advisors to explain repairs and build transparent estimates.

The ideal candidate has 2–3+ years of automotive repair, strong gas and diesel powertrain skills, and Ford dealership experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed to perform PA safety inspections and emissions checks.
• Ford dealership experience and/or Ford training strongly preferred.
• 2–3+ years of automotive repair on light/medium trucks.
• Strong gas and diesel powertrain diagnostic skills.
• Experience with multi-point inspections and video walkthroughs.
• Owns professional automotive tools and diagnostic gear.
• ASE certifications are a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair light- and medium-duty trucks and SUVs.
• Complete multi-point inspections with MPI video walkthroughs.
• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs across major systems.
• Service gasoline and light/medium diesel powertrains.
• Collaborate with Service Advisors to prepare accurate estimates.
• Document findings, labor times, and repairs on repair orders.
• Road-test vehicles before and after repairs.
• Maintain clean, safe work bay per safety protocols.
