Job summary

Skymark Companies in Kansas City, MO is seeking an Assembly Technician to install components on light and heavy-duty chassis. You will plan, assemble, and align parts, read schematics, and follow build orders to ensure accuracy.

Electrical systems (12V/24V) will be installed and components adapted for truck designs. Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED and at least two years of mechanical/heavy equipment experience, including electrical work.

Qualifications

• Ability to read hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic schematics.
• Have quality mechanic tools with upright rolling toolbox.
• Familiar with drill, angle grinder, torque wrench and impact tools.
• Ability to use and read a tape measure proficiently.
• Knowledge of safety requirements and adherence.
• Ability to work with all departments efficiently.
• Good time management and prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform fitting, assembly, installation, and alignment to requirements.
• Follow build orders or change orders with accuracy.
• Assemble units per company standards.
• Read schematics to determine sequence and tooling needs.
• Install 12V/24V electrical systems.
• Install special components for truck designs.
• Verify conformance to specifications.
• Maintain shop and personal equipment; keep area clean.
• Document work performed.
