Shift Hours: Wednesday Noon to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, Friday, Saturday 6:00 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Starting Pay: $20.95 /hr - $29.85 /hr

Description
This position is responsible for diagnosing issues, adjusting, repairing, and performing routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment while complying with Department of Transportation rules and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Tasks
Applicants will be considered for any Truck Shop Mechanic opening. This position requires a current valid State driver’s license. Must supply own tools for minimum maintenance. Must be able to use basic electrical, pneumatic, and hand tools. May perform air brake, electrical, and air conditioning work. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders up to 20 feet, bend, stretch, reach, work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors. Must be able to read and understand assignments. Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of basic mechanical or maintenance skills, including PM on equipment, oil changes, greasing, repairing or replacing semi tires, brake repair or replacement on semi-trucks and trailers, and minimum 1 year experience operating cutting torch and electric welder.
Must have at least 1 year of continuous employment at your most recent job.
