Wayne Transports, a family-based trucking company, seeks a service technician to perform mechanical repairs and ensure vehicles run safely. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, use hand tools, and maintain preventive maintenance schedules.

The shift is Monday–Friday 8:00–5:00 with occasional Saturday; candidates should be hands-on, detail-oriented, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and eager to learn new skills. CDL may be preferred.

Qualificações

• Self-starter, highly motivated, effective problem solver.
• Methodical and detail-oriented.
• Ability to operate equipment and tools involved in vehicle repair.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and vehicle parts.
• 1 year of experience working on diesel engines or technical training.
• Willing to train motivated candidates with less experience.
• CDL preferred

Responsabilidades

• Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn damaged parts.
• Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Conducts safety checks on vehicles.
• Recognizes and completes preventive maintenance schedules.
• Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate repairs.
• Maintains vehicle appearance and verifies vehicle performance.
• Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options.
• Stays updated with job skills and latest trends in participating education and guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
