Job summary

Walmart is seeking an experienced Trailer Refrigeration Technician in Valdosta, GA to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on TRUs, trailers, and tractors. The role includes servicing braking systems, tires, electrical wiring, and HVAC components to ensure fleet reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience in trailer refrigeration maintenance and repair (e.g. diagnostic and component replacement)
• EPA Section 608 Refrigerant Handling Certification
• Valid state-issued driver's license
• Brake inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.25
• Vehicle Inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.19

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on TRUs and trailers following OEM procedures.
• Maintain and repair trailers including electrical wiring, lighting, and doors.
• Service and repair tractor-trailer braking systems including inspections and component replacement.
• Perform tire service, balancing, and alignment using appropriate equipment.
• Receive fuel deliveries, monitor levels, and ensure safety compliance and documentation.
• Process warranty repairs and claims with accurate documentation.
• Diagnose equipment issues, order parts, and perform maintenance on fleet assets.
• Complete work orders and logs in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Collaborate with technicians to maintain reliability and operational excellence.
• TRU/refrigeration diagnostics and repair; electrical and mechanical troubleshooting; HVAC systems.
