Job summary

The Larson Group Peterbilt in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced Used Truck Porter to maintain and organize the New and Used Truck Lots. Responsibilities include keeping vehicles clean, prepped for delivery, and ensuring DOT compliance. Opportunity to transfer equipment between TLG dealerships may occur.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma, a Class A CDL, and 2+ years of relevant experience. Mechanical aptitude is recommended. EOE and advancement opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• HS diploma required.
• CDL Class A required or obtainable.
• MVR guidelines must be met per company policy.
• Two years of experience in a similar role preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and professional personal appearance.
• Be friendly and courteous to all customers.
• Keep company vehicles clean, maintained and prepped for delivery.
• Operate equipment per DOT regulations and safety policies.
• Complete required DOT and company paperwork.
• Ensure trucks start and move weekly.
• Transport trucks to fuel or delivery locations as needed.
• Ensure trucks have sufficient fuel for test drives.
• Install TLG mud flaps and perform minor repairs.
• Ensure proper operation of lights and air systems.
• Notify manager of any truck defects immediately.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and shop.
• Assist parts and service departments as needed.

The Larson Group Peterbilt is looking for an experienced Used Truck Porter to join our dynamic team. The Truck Porter is responsible for maintaining and organizing the New and Used Truck Lots. This position ensures all company vehicles are cleaned and operate correctly after repairs. This position may at times transfer equipment to other TLG Dealerships.
