NMC Cat is seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair trucks in a busy shop. You will reference service and diagnostic software to determine issues and parts, and ensure repairs meet specifications.

You will document service reports and communicate progress clearly, meeting time guidelines and escalating complex problems when needed.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

NMC Cat is looking for a Truck Mechanic. Our Diesel Mechanics are the cornerstone of our business and key to ensuring that our customers’ trucks are back up and running.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES*:

• Complete diagnostics, troubleshooting, and appropriate repairs and rebuilds on trucks in a shop environment
• Reference and interpret service, parts, and diagnostic software to determine problems/malfunctions and to verify repair specifications and parts needed.
• Meet time requirement guidelines (TRG) standards. Escalate unresolved issues to Technical Communicators for further research and assistance.
• Accomplish repair by following parts ordering process, completing service reports, and giving appropriate verbal or written communication in email or service reports.
