Job summary

The Larson Group Peterbilt in Arkansas is seeking an experienced Truck Porter to maintain and organize the new and used truck lots. This role ensures vehicles are clean and operate correctly after repairs, and may transfer equipment between TLG dealerships as needed.

Key duties include keeping trucks fueled, prepped for test drives, and compliant with DOT policies; assisting the parts and service teams; and maintaining a safe, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Possess or obtain a Class A CDL.
• Motor Vehicle Record must adhere to TLG MVR guidelines.
• Two years of experience in a similar position is preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and professional personal appearance.
• Be friendly and courteous to all customers.
• Keep company vehicles clean, properly maintained and prepped for delivery.
• Operate equipment in accordance with DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Complete required DOT and company related paperwork.
• Ensure all trucks start and move on a weekly basis.
• Transport trucks as needed to fuel or deliver to customers.
• Ensure that trucks have sufficient fuel for test drives and install mud flaps on all trucks.
• Ensure proper operation of all lights and air systems.
• Notify manager immediately of defects on trucks.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, clean the shop area as directed.
• Assist parts and service department as needed.
