Job summary

Aerotek is hiring for a Loader/Unloader at our Sutherland, VA distribution center. This contract-to-hire role involves safe loading and unloading of trailers, manual lifting up to 60 lbs, and using handheld scanners and warehouse systems.

You will work in a fast-paced, onsite environment with opportunities for permanent hire based on attendance and performance. Weekly pay and benefits are included.

Pay: $16.60/hr to $25/hr | all Shift Available | Start Monday

Loader / Unloader

Join a fast-paced distribution center loading and unloading trailers using conveyors, scanners, and warehouse systems. This is a physically demanding role requiring continuous lifting (up to 60 lbs), walking, and working on and off trailers in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently.
• Scan, sort, count, label, and track freight using handheld scanners and WMS systems.
• Support shipping, receiving, order picking, and cross-dock operations.
• Follow proper loading techniques and safety procedures.
• Meet productivity goals in a high-volume warehouse environment.

Requirements

• 0-2 years of warehouse, loading/unloading, order picking, or general labor experience.
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 60 lbs and work in hot conditions.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Basic computer skills and experience using scanners preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sutherland, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.60 - $27.30/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
