Job summary

US Foods in Norwich, CT is seeking a Truck Builder to optimize trailer loads and improve loading and unloading efficiency. You will layout and assemble each trailer using Truck Builder software, ensuring safety and throughput targets are met.

The role requires good math, analytical thinking, and teamwork, with a focus on accuracy and pace in a warehouse setting. The position offers starting pay at $29.00 per hour with weekly pay and benefits from day one, including health, dental, vision, 401(k)

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED/equivalent required.
  • One year of warehouse experience preferred.
  • Experience with Truck Builder software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Use Truck Builder software to layout and assemble each trailer.
  • Analyze the output to maximize safety and efficiency during loading and unloading.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure the proper supply of materials for loading and unloading.
  • Order supplies as needed.
  • Respond to driver concerns and adjust loads as necessary.
  • Assist in loading trailers to meet daily production goals.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.
